A gorgeous locket from the Art Nouveau (ca1910s) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 18k yellow gold and features the wonderful repousse image of a Roman goddess holding a single flower. The image is highly intricate, and the woman is dressed in flowing garments and her hair is held within a loose updo. Her side profile is soft, and her entire body is encircled by a foliage-motif border. The circular locket also features a halo of bead-set rose cut diamonds. The diamonds wonderfully contrast the repousse design and yellow gold surface of the locket. The piece opens and closes with a simple hidden mechanism on the side of the piece, and the locket is accompanied by a complementary bail. The bail is stamped with an "18K" purity mark. This unusual and beautiful locket would make a wonderful addition to any collection! 

Measurements: The locket has a diameter of just under 1 1/4" and measures 1 1/2" long (including the complementary bail).

Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The repousse design is free of any dents or damage. The locket opens easily and closes securely.
